Glass files are gentler than most emery boards and metal files. Other files tend to damage your natural nails by splitting and chipping them. Tempered Czech glass™ nail files help seal the keratin layers that keep your nails strong and healthy.
Oh — and did we mention they’re 100% recyclable and last up to four times as long as metal files?! Really, what’s not to love?
Yes they are! Bohemian glass, also referred to as Bohemia crystal, is glass produced in the regions of Bohemia and Silesia, now parts of the Czech Republic. It has been around for centuries and is internationally recognized for its quality, craftsmanship, beauty and application in innovative designs.
Most of BFB’s glass nail files feature a Fine-to-Medium Grit on both sides. This grit level is higher than most emery boards and metal files, which tend to be overly coarse and can damage your natural nails.
We also have a low (coarse) grit nail file that is perfect for filing acrylic or gel nail enhancements.
The usable part of the file is the abrasive surface that appears on both sides. It looks a bit like frosted glass.
The colored, glossy part of the file is the handle, and is designed to provide a smooth grip. You can check out our Ergonomic Set for an even comfier handle!
Our files are reusable, long lasting and easy to clean. Simply rinse the abrasive surface under cool running water, and let your file air dry on a soft cloth or towel.
